Choose the access that fits how you use chess.

Free includes ordinary play, the introductory lesson allowance and a daily fresh-puzzle allowance. It does not include game history, game review, move explanations or advanced statistics. Completed learning and account progress are kept, with access following the current plan.

Explorer adds the full personal curriculum, game history, ad-free learning and a larger puzzle allowance. Challenger adds game review and more fresh puzzles. Champion includes unlimited fresh puzzles, move explanations and advanced statistics. Individual is for one learner; Family provides the profile allowance listed for the chosen tier.

Starter, Growth and Academy cover the school, club or coaching workspace. The plan sets active student and staff capacity and the available tools. Classroom curricula, homework and individual learning plans belong to that organisation; they do not turn into a personal subscription for each learner.

The owner counts toward the coach allowance. A learner in more than one active class in the same organisation counts once toward its active student allowance. An eligible Academy workspace can publish a branded website and installable web app. Review the current capacity and features before enrolling a new group.

A monthly plan renews each month. A yearly plan charges the full annual total in one payment; an equivalent monthly figure is for comparison and is not an instalment plan. The checkout shows the currency, billing period and renewal terms before the adult account holder approves payment.

Eligible new teaching accounts can choose a 14-day Academy trial. It requires PayPal approval and automatically renews at the selected monthly or yearly Academy price after the trial unless cancelled beforehand. Starter and Growth begin with paid billing. Cancelling renewal stops future charges. Confirmed access continues until the displayed end date. Your saved profiles and personal progress are retained; access to paid features and the ability to add profiles then follow the current membership.

When a teaching plan expires, assigned teaching access and the branded public site become unavailable while records are retained. Learners can return to their personal Free or paid account. A complimentary grant from Chess242 follows its stated plan and expiry and does not require a paid subscription for the granted access.
